WHAT IS ICON TREATMENT:-

REASONS FOR WHITE SPOTS/ MARKS ON TEETH:-
Common reasons are fluorosis, trauma, post orthodontic treatment ( after removal of brackets), early demineralisation of enamel, etc.
HOW DOES IT WORK:-
This breakthrough micro-invasive technology fills and reinforces demineralized enamel without drilling or anesthesia. The principle is: Air and water entrapments in the tooth have a lower refractive index than intact tooth structure. This leads to unesthetic discolorations. Icon balances out this difference and the appearance blends in with the healthy enamel.
WHAT DOES THE PROCEDURE INVOLVE:-
An initial consultation is required to screen the cases to be fit for ICON treatment. Most cases do require an initial whiting procedure followed by a 2 hour appointment for ICON treatment. Icon treatment involves a minimal of 3 cycles of applying agents on to the affected area which chemically demineralising the enamel and thereafter refilling it with resin infiltration.
IS THE PROCEDURE PAINFUL:-
You do not require any anesthetic injections as it is a painless procedure.
WHEN DO I SEE RESULTS AND HOW LONG DO THEY LAST:-
Results can be seen straight after the treatment. The results are usually long lasting.
