When a patient has receding gums, it can lead to a phenomenon known as ‘the black triangle’. This is simply the small gap that is left between teeth when the gum recedes – the gap where the gum used to be. Composite bond-ups, crowns and veneers are the traditional ways to combat this, but the composite bonding system has brought new options with a host of benefits.
A REVOLUTIONARY SYSTEM
Pioneered by Doctor David Clark in 2007, the Bioclear Matrix system that we use at thedentalstudio involves the use of very thin moulds that are designed to fit your teeth. Dr Mathur injects a composite into the mould, creating a perfect veneer that effectively builds up the tooth, removing the gap. Once this has been done the composite is polished to create an aesthetically pleasing look that blends perfectly with your teeth.
